Audience

Live audience intelligence for discovery workshops — anonymous room signal, AI-surfaced themes and tensions, and a one-click decision brief, built as a Slido-style tool for facilitators rather than marketers.

Key Features & Outcomes

  • Three-act workshop loop — collect anonymous responses, understand themes with an AI co-pilot, decide with a one-click brief
  • Works entirely on localStorage with no database, with an optional Anthropic or OpenAI key for richer AI features
  • AI features degrade to built-in heuristics with no API key configured, rather than failing outright
  • Installable as a PWA via Serwist, with API routes explicitly excluded from caching

The idea

Workshop polling tools tend to be built for marketing sentiment, not for a facilitator trying to get a room of stakeholders to an actual decision. Audience is a proof of concept for the latter: collect anonymous signal, let an AI co-pilot surface themes and split votes with evidence, then generate a decision brief the room can act on.

What's inside

A three-act loop — Collect (polls, ratings, word clouds via a join code), Understand (a co-pilot panel analysing live responses for themes and tensions), and Decide (a one-click session brief for stakeholders) — plus a Discovery Workshop builder that can generate a tailored interaction set from an agenda before a session even starts. It runs entirely on localStorage, so a workshop needs no backend setup; AI features work with built-in heuristics out of the box and get sharper with an optional Anthropic or OpenAI key.

Why it matters to me

A deliberately scrappy proof of concept — the interesting question wasn't "can AI summarise workshop responses" (it can), it was whether a facilitator would trust a one-click brief enough to actually walk into a stakeholder meeting with it. Still a POC, not in regular use yet.
