The idea
Most family calendar apps assume one adult manages everything for everyone else. Ground Control starts from a different premise: one household login, but every member gets their own profile — so the board reflects a family, not an admin and their dependents.
What's inside
- Mission control view — a shared calendar and sticky-note board as the default landing surface for the day-to-day.
- Modules, not monoliths — Sports, School, Life, and Bills & Renewals are opt-in plug-ins for household-specific event types, rather than a fixed schema everyone has to fit into.
- Profiles, not just accounts — individual member views sit inside the one household login, so kids, partners, and admins can each see what's relevant to them.
Why it matters to me
Same territory as JobJar and Home Alone — small, personal tools built because the household actually needed them, not to chase a market. The plug-in module approach is the interesting technical bit: most of these apps calcify around whatever the first use case was, and I wanted this one to grow sideways instead.
